How we test xwerx.com

Using the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach, we assessed the website using a combination of manual and automated tests.

We use automated tests such as ARC Toolkit and Axe Devtools and accessibility tools provided by WEBAIM to audit the website.

Our manual tests included Keyboard-only navigation and Screen Reader testing using MacOS VoiceOver.

How we are going to improve accessibility on this website

We are committed to ensuring our website is inclusive and accessible for all users.  Our goal is to address the following items to be fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA and provide a positive experience for all users ;

• We are reviewing the headings and labels used on the site to ensure they are descriptive and understandable.
• We are revising links to add more context and use plain language.
• We are updating our forms to include descriptive labels.
• We will add alternative text descriptions to our imagery.
• We will make adjustments to layout issues to improve the experience for users who require text spacing adjustments. 
• We intend to implement ARIA-labelling best practice to reduce duplication of links for users of screen readers and ensure labelling and instructions are clear.
